I love being black. Most of all, I love NATURAL BLACK FEMALES. The first images I possess are of three Black middle aged females. I love black history especially social and cultural history of our people. I love the fact, all of the kinds of man emerged out of the Global Black Experience. There is no such thing as a racist Blackman. Further more, no Blackman can ever be an alien upon the face of the earth. Any society which deems any Blackman as an alien possess twisted logic. It is totally absurd in fact it is asinine. further I say not . . .

Are you Guyanese? Are you connected to the Caribbean basin? Are you of Temne peoples of Sierra Leone? You are welcomed to communicate with me; and/or to enlighten me; relative to none political and none religious discourse. I am seeking to communicate with people on both coasts of the Atlantic Ocean who are interested in repairing what the Atlantic Holocaust took away from aboriginals of earth.

I consider myself an intelligent being and I love intelligent people discourse on political and religious philosophies. I love to examine their effects upon the daily experiences of billions of humans, here upon earth.

Good Lord! Have mercy! Why am I to trod this earth to witness the degradation of my people? This era of slavery has had a far worst affliction than physical slavery did between 1415 and the end of the nineteenth century.

I am of the opinion; whether or not ole Willie Lynch ever existed a singular person; it can not certainly be doubted the effect of the philosophy attributed to him. This Willie Lynch Syndrome continues to reproduce the kind of nonsense it was expected to even at this late date – the twentieth first century.  I also suggest you acess a copy of the article written by Stanley Crouch

Man and kind are now living in an age where every being with deep pockets is considered a hero.  I bear witness; the sell-outs, the illegal narcotics drug dealers, the pimps-in-the-pulpit, the politicians, the entertainers; even those  who never visits the communities  of Black and the other groups of underprivileged laboring class of the society;  the hip-hop rappers; those with blond hair;  those that bleach their skins, well beyond their natural appearances, but are really black ;  those more tattoos than whatever it is they should have between their ears; and those with claws for finger nails. These then are some of your heroes. You can keep them have them all.

What is considered a hero to numerous souls in this modern age is certainly not my idea of a hero. However, I would be dishonest I did not educate you to a number of primary heroes of black life and culture in the Americas such as the following;  

Malcolm X, Betty Shabazz, Harriett Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Mariana Grajales (1808 -1893), Shirley Anita Chisholm,  Frederick Douglass, Martin Robinson Delaney, Antonio Maceo (1845-1896), Arthur Alfonso Schomburg, Marcus Garvey, Franz Fanon, Wesley McDonald Holder, Ivan Van Sertima, Walter Rodney, George Granville Monah James, Jan Carew, Eric Williams, Cyril Lionel Robert James, Henry Sylvester Williams, Richard Benjamin Moore, Cheikh Anta Diop and the African teachers and advocates of self-emancipation and self-love are in my opinion without doubt heroes of Black people all over the Diaspora.  You can not deny I am correct. If you do that – may I remind you of the words of Malcolm X – paraphrasing … You are not only a traitor to your race but a traitor to your ancestry and heritage… stop being confused know thy self in this age of information there is no excuse for ignorance.

Spare the Rod and Spoil the Child - Where did I ever hear that saying? When did I first hear that dictum? How often did I ever hear that maxim? Perhaps, the question one ought to ask is; how often have I heard that cliché in recent past? 
I believe the saying, “spare the rod and spoil the child”, must have been imbedded, implanted in the minds of parents, schoolteachers, especially the schoolmasters, and adults of the communities in rural British Guiana (Guyana) and the British Caribbean during the years prior to 1973, as per some sort of social gospel respecting the ideal of raising adults from childhood.
When Forbes Burnham most thankfully, finally eradicated the wild cane out of the arsenal of the teachers in the school system in Guyana numerous adults lamented the end of times. I am sure my mother was most upset. It is said since mind April 1928, she never ventured into a classroom with a rod of correction. Then, Burnham retired all teachers who attained the age of fifty-five years. Mother was angry, and frustrated to put it mildly. I thought she was ready to bear arms and rebel. She was prevented from accomplishing fifty (50) years as a teacher. That was considered the long standing measure of great service in the teaching profession in British Guiana.
I confess and bear witness; I never witnessed my mother with sugar cane in her hand. I sure felt the effects of the wild cane, belts, electric wires and tamarind rods too many times to last several reincarnations.
Now social scientists are arguing that the banning of physical punishment in the schools is the major reason for the increase of violence and social decay in the societies in the civilized world. I don’t agree. I think legislation and society’s pattern of behaviors against parents, ethnic groups and communities is the primary factor. In the USA; Parents are afraid of others hearing their children crying. Parents are afraid of ACS.
If there was such an institution as ACS during my childhood in British Guiana and teenage years in Guyana I would not have hesitated. I would have lodged complaints against every adult who violated my very being. Trust me. Most folks won’t admit as such but I’ll always will to truth. There it is.

Bridging the Demerara River and Berbice River

There is a one span bridge across the Demerara River linking McKenzie with Wismar. I am sure that bridge is older than the Demerara Harbour Bridge floating bridge from Peter's Hall, East Bank Demerara to Schoon Ord, West Bank Demerara. I have not heard that the McKenzie - Wismar Bridge is a great danger to the society. It’s beyond my simple mind why do they the technocrats insist in assembling floating bridges across the Demerara River and Berbice River? I am a proponent that referendums must be held on building projects (Constructions) which requires tax payers’financing. The projects plans must display prominently how many Guyanese will be employed on the project. As being proportionate to that of the voters list of the most recent national election or the most up to date list. The rate of pay must also be displayed. It is known that the coast and upper reaches of the rivers are prone to flooding and the banks of the rivers are sparsely populated– and narrower as one approaches the sources of the rivers. Then the best solution is building one span bridges across the rivers perhaps within fifty (50) – one hundred (100) miles from the mouths of the Demerara River and Berbice River. Such programs will require construction of roads to the bridges on both banks of the rivers. That’s certainly job creation. It will encourage our people to settle alongside the roads on the banks of the rivers. Perhaps, farmers will find maiden and/or fertile land.
I think bridging the Berbice River at Ithaca, or Tacama or Ituni are all much options than the current foolishness linking D’Edward with Crab Island. The Demerara River could perhaps be bridged at Timehri – or further up the river approaching Christianburg. Perhaps, the islands; Biesen, Borselem, and Inver ought to be considered in the mix. However, floating bridges ought not to be temporary. I never consider floating bridges progress and/or infrastructure to harp about .
Roads on both banks of the Demerara River and Berbice River and on the bank of the Corentyne River ought to open up new agricultural communities. A road along the bank of the Corentyne River to Lethem and the locations in the deepest southern reaches of the Rupununi District be considered and constructed soonest.
There are four floating pontoon bridges in the United States. The bridges were constructed in 1993, 1989, 1963 and 1961. They are 6,543 feet, 6,130 feet, 7,518 feet, and 6,471 feet long respectively. They are located in the state of Washington. The bridges are identified as Lacy V. Murrow-Lake Washington Bridge, the Third Lake Washington Bridge in Seattle, The Evergreen Point Bridge and The Hood Canal Bridge in Port Gamble.

Oh My Mother Rachael: - Rachael (Campbell) Sancho (1875?-1944)

Oh if I could live in the past; I would love to witness the interaction between my maternal grandparents. I’d love to witness Papa Allick’s paternal care of his daughters and the reactions and objections of Mama Rachael. I’d love to witness the shenanigans of the Sancho females at the expense of Alwyn Sancho and Papa Allick’s reactions to the cries of his grandson. The only comparable theatre would be perhaps provided by grand Aunt Edith (Sancho) Sharper (1890?-1952)
Tuesday, June 25, 2013 marks the sixty-ninth (69) year since Grandmother Rachael Sancho departed the physical realm of existence. I’d love to witness the length of her hair. Could it really be well pass her rear-end? Could her mother’s hair be even longer than hers? The fact that the remains of Mama Rachael are interred at the cemetery at Victoria, East Coast Demerara, does not sit well at all with me. I dissent. I believe the remains of Mama Rachael should have been buried in Sancho Plot at the cemetery at Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara. How could Papa Allick permit that after some forty-five (45) years of marriage, eleven (11) children, forty-four (44) grandchildren and one great grandchild as of June 1944? By that period Mama Rachael was well on her way to becoming the second most known fruitful Sancho female. Sarah (Sumner?) Sancho, the wife of Bentick Sancho continues to surpass and always will surpass Mama Rachael’s generations for Mama Rachael’s descendants are also hers. I believe, at this point, more than one thousand (1000) Sancho people are descended from Mama Rachael. However, only a few of us – Sancho people - possess the X chromosomes of Mama Rachael.  The X chromosomes of Mama Rachael is found in her daughters; my mother and her sisters; the children of my mother and her sisters, the great-grandchildren by their daughters, and great-grandchildren by their granddaughters,   and so on as per generation after generation.  Mama Rachael’s X chromosomes are that of Tamil speaking peoples of perhaps, Uttar Pradesh in India.
There are still a number of Sancho people who witnessed Mama Rachael. Therefore I would love to thank Nature for providing me with such a wonderful grandmother – the mother of my mother. I wonder whether Muriel Sancho (1914-1990) called her mother’s name everyday between June 25, 1944 and January 29, 1990. If she did not; how often did she cry or sigh Oh my mother Rachael?

Review - Against the Grain

Dr. Baytoram Ramharack’s scholarly presentation, “Against the Grain: Balram Singh Rai and the Politics of Guyana”, published in 2005 is an outstanding work respecting the politics of British Guiana, 1946 -1964 and its aftermath. It is also a resounding indictment of Dr. Cheddi Bharat Jagan (1918-1997), Ms. Janet Rosalie (Rosenberg) Jagan (1920 –2009), Linden Forbes Sampson Burnham (1923-1985), Dr. Ptolemy Alexander Reid (1912 - 2003), Hugh Desmond Hoyte ( 1929 –2002), Robert Herman Orlando Corbin, Hamilton Green, Samuel Archibald Anthony Hinds, Bharrat Jagdeo, Donald Ramotar, David Arthur Granger, Rupert Roopnaraine, Ralph Ramkarran, Raphael Trotman, Kemraj Ramjattan, and Moses Nagamootoo and others who occupied chairs in the Legislative Assembly may26, 1966 – to this current times. The publications argues that the Members of Parliament, 1966-2013, are vindictive, small minded and selfish. The PPP seems to be the brain child of Janet Jagan who through Cheddi Jagan’s birthing at Port Mourant, Berbice; would legitimize her as Guyanese. In simple words; Janet Jagan’s influence upon Cheddi Jagan and his ruthless rise to popularity amongst the Indians never resonated with Africans. The Africans saw through the PPP’s window dressings. The Jagans began a program of show casing of numerous Negroes as a covert operation to distill fears that PPP was an Indian party. Let’s face it PPP is an Indian party. And more accurately PPP was the Jagans personal paraphernalia. The PPP depended heavily upon Indian support at the polls. However, the PPP never facilitated Indians except for the period Balram Singh Rai served as a Cabinet Minister, 1957-1962. The Jagans were racists and opportunists who hid behind the veils of Marxist-Leninist rhetoric and a parade of Show Negroes. Cheddi Jagan and Janet Jagan repeatedly exposed themselves. Cheddi Jagan and Janet Jagan intended Forbes Burnham, Eusi Kwayana (Slave Name Sydney King), Rory Westmaas, Martin Carter, Keith Carter, Eric Huntley,, George Younge, and Ashton Chase and several others to be stooges and Show Negroes. Their behaviors were reminiscent of the White slave-owning class and their African slave drivers. Dr. Baytoram Ramharack skillfully expresses Balram Singh Rai’s points of views. He exposes the weaknesses of the characters of Cheddi Jagan, and Janet Jagan. Did you know Cheddi Jagan ran like a dog with its tail between its legs when Balram Singh Rai rescued him from a gathering of angry African females? Jagan cowed in the back of a vehicle and was driven to safety. It is said Jawaharlal Nehru (1889 –1964) dared armed folks to shoot and not Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (1869-1947). Also William Alexander Clarke Bustamante (1884 –1977) said shoot me and not poor people protesting for their rights and descent living wages. It seems, Cheddi Jagan, was predisposed to recurring blundering. Janet Jagan had no understanding of Hindu society especially as it relates particularly to young widows. Janet Jagan was most insensitive and opportunistic. Ms. Janet Jagan was a meddling foreigner. The Jagans heaped their alien political culture, upon the backs of East Indians, primarily, on the blood, sweat and tears of the sugar workers. The reprehensible behaviors of Indo-Guyanese supporters of the PPP, especially its militant arm the PYO, April 1962 – December 1964 against the honorable, Balram Singh Rai. It is mind boggling. After all, Balram Singh Rai vowed to represent the Indian interest in the colony of British Guiana, 1946-1964. A most perplexing thought is that East Indians of the Arya Samaj in British Guiana did not vote for Balram Singh Rai and his Justice Party. After all, Balram Singh Rai was a highly respected official of the society and the Jagans were not. The Jagans were not attached to any religious society. The Indians choose to heed the PPP’s call, don’t split the vote. Thereby they threw away the Indian representation in the coalition government as predicted by Balram Singh Rai in the aftermath of the December 7, 1964 general elections. It is all the more astonishing, for Balram Singh Rai’s record illuminates his efforts to correcting imbalances in the society which showed a disparity as against Indians. Balram Singh Rai exposed Dr. Cheddi Jagan as the cowardly racist and opportunist he was. Balram Singh Rai pointed out and spelt out Dr. Cheddi Jagan’s penchant for stooges and “Show Negroes”. Balram Singh Rai named; Brindley Horatio Benn, Earl Maxwell Gladstone Wilson, Cedric Vernon Nunes, Fred Bowman, Lawrence Mann, Samuel Victor Downer and George L. Robertson, as Dr. Jagan’s “Show Negroes”. Dr. Baytoram Ramharack illuminates the numerous confounding mistakes after mistakes, one after another, Cheddi Jagan and the PPP made with reference to the talented persons who were members of the PPP, and were forced out by the Jagans. He (Cheddi Jagan) saw himself as the absolute leader of the East Indians of British Guiana. Thus, in the eyes of Cheddi Jagan and his propaganda machinery, all others were challengers. They are to be denigrated, scandalized and reduced to unsung at best or traitors, and/or crucified, at worst. This pattern was established since February 1955, when Forbes Burnham challenged the Jagans for the leadership of their political platform, the PPP in public. The scenarios were repeated until 1992 when Cheddi Jagan recaptured the highest office in the land. Forbes Burnham was a master Machiavellian politician. He completely and repeatedly outmaneuvered Cheddi Bharat Jagan and Janet Rosalie (Rosenberg) Jagan. Their shenanigans were no match for his brilliance. Eusi Kwayana recognized the PPP is the personal property of Cheddi Jagan and Janet Jagan. Eusi Kwayana was Marxist-Leninist politician. He understood the theology must be tailored to suit the Guyanese people if it were to succeed in British Guiana. Eusi Kwayana also recognized British Guiana’s national policies must relate to the English speaking Caribbean basin. The Jagans did not agree with Eusi Kwayana. They posed extremely weak and ridiculous arguments devoid of rational thoughts. Janet Jagan was beside herself spewing poison against Eusi Kwayana at the very late date of 1992. It is thus reasonable to conclude Janet Jagan took her hatred of Eusi Kwayana and Balram Singh Rai to the moment of her death. The venom against Balram Singh Rai has not been totally eradicated with the passing of Cheddi Jagan and Janet Jagan. In this modern era, neither Bharat Jagdeo nor Donald Ramotar has seen the wisdom in correcting the outrageous acts of ingratitude afforded Balram Singh Rai by the prior Heads of State of Guyana. None of the politicians, Kemraj Ramjattan, Raphael Trotman and others has sought to righting this wrong – the injustice committed against Balram Singh Rai in April –June 1962 and the withholding of parliamentary pension for Balram Singh Rai. Balram Singh Rai seems to be an honest man. He was caught up in political follies of the Jagans and their personal property. Guyanese people are the losers in the charade known as politics. It pertinent to understand, how and why, buffoons and criminals adorn the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government and the office of the president and the ministerial cabinet and all level of offices in the land while honest and competent civil servant as Balram Singh Rai resides in exile in the United kingdom without one cent of parliamentary pension from the governments of Forbes Burnham, Desmond Hoyte, Cheddi Jagan, Samuel Hinds, Janet Jagan, Bharat Jagdeo and Donald Ramotar. Yet Guyanese will forever swear those iconic personalities are their national heroes. Absurd is the first word that comes to my mind…They are all immoral and vindictive. Guyanese ought to demand Balram Singh Rai receives his pension and retroactive to 1966 – that’s the honorable to do – Isn’t it? Dr. Baytoram Ramharack glossed over the CIA’s role in the financing of the Justice Party. It remains uncertain whether Balram Singh Rai knew and/or at what point he became aware that Jai Narine Singh was receiving CIA funding for the Justice Party. I wonder whether Balram Singh Rai threw his lot with the CIA and i8f he did how he would have extricated himself from their grasp. Another shortcoming is the omission of the fact Balram Singh Rai convened a committee to study the possibilities of utilizing Guyanese works by Guyanese authors on Guyanese subjects in the curriculums in the school system in British Guiana. The Honourable Minister for Community Development and Education has approved of the appointment of a Committee to explore the possibility of, and to encourage, the production of locally prepared text books, pamphlets, brochures, and other forms of literature. Members of the Committee are:- Mr. R. M. Nicholson – Assistant Director of Education – Chairman; Mr. L. D. Cleare, Dr. Bertram Aggrey Nathaniel Collins, Mr. Vere Trevelyan Daly, Miss Violet Graham, Mrs. S. Low, Mr. Dwarka Nath, Mr. Thomas Anson Sancho (1932-2004), Mr. Arthur James Seymour (1914-1989), and John Allan Ethelbert Young.
