left hand spinners No wrist spinners

 left hand spinners

There are left arm spinners in every team in West Indies Championship 2025. Perhaps as many as nine.

Joshua Bishop, Daniel Doram, Akeal Hosein,  Gudakesh Motie, Ashmead Nedd, Veersammy Permaul, Khary Pierre, Jeavor Royal, Jomel Warrican

  • What is CWI depth chart?
  • Will Veersammy Permaul ever be given an extended run in test cricket?

Anthony Adams (Essequebo)  Kevin Umrao (Berbice)

There is Kevin Umrao, behind Veerasammy Permaul, and Gudakesh Motie at Albion in club cricket in Berbice. Antony Adams in Essequebo is selected in Guyana team over Ashmead Nedd whenever  Gudakesh Motie is absent

It seems everyone of the left arm spinners is  an orthodox spinner. At least two major wicket taking threats - wrist spinners are needed – in West Indies cricket for international matches. Who has been identified in Upper Corentyne, Berbice, Guyana and West Indie as a Left-Arm Unorthodox Spin and/or Right-Arm Leg Spin prospect for internationals before December 31, 2028?   I love Berbice cricket. I hate the politics of BCB, GCB and West Indies cricket. Here is a young wrist spinner.

Regardless of his performance and the need at West Indies first-class and international squads. He happens to be African. Hence, he is not selected. Nothing has changed in the former British Guiana. As it is with Veerasammy Permaul and it was for Lance Gibbs before Frank Worrell’s advent and intervention; so it is with  Joshua Thomas.
There is no Clyde Walcott. There is no Clyde Butts to nurture spinners and Berbice cricket, GCB has again spoken  West Indies cricket. And young Joshua Thomas is the immediate victim
