Mediocre players are preferred by Haynes and Simmons.

Empty stands and losing cricket are the most depressing reality of West Indies cricket. The hierarchy of Cricket West Indies is to be blamed for the current cesspool. Obviously, Sherfane Rutherford, Fabian Allen, Shimron Hetmyer, Evin Lewis, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell and several others are not preferred by Phil Simmons, coaches and other selectors. The hierarchy is the primary culprit in this continuing three years’ folly of the CWI-Phil Simmons circus.  Mayers, Brooks are not in the category as Sherfane Rutherford, Fabian Allen, Shimron Hetmyer, Evin Lewis, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell. Otherwise, IPL and other T20 leagues would have offered Brooks and Mayers opportunities to exhibit their skills in exchange to and for access to capital – Rothschild money supply. However, series after series of losing West Indies cricket, Brooks and Mayers and other similar mediocre players are preferred by Haynes and Simmons. CWI hierarchy must end such confounded nonsense.

Marlon Samuels experienced 17 captains in his international career, December15, 2000 - December14, 2018. The captains are Jimmy Adams (3 Tests, 10 ODIs), Carlos Brathwaite (18 T20Is), Dwayne Bravo (1 Tests, 24 ODIs, 2 T20Is), Sherwin Campbell (1 ODI), Shivnarine Chanderpaul (2 Tests), Darren Ganga (1 Test). , Chris Gayle (4 Tests, 11 ODIs, 2 T20Is), Jason Holder (12 Tests, 40 ODIs), Karl Hooper (10 Tests, 25 ODIs), Ridley Jacobs (2 Tests, 4 ODIs), Brian Lara (6 Tests) 50 ODIs, Jason Mohammed (1 ODI, 3 T20Is), Kieron Pollard (2 ODIs), Rovman Powell (3 ODIs), Dinesh Ramdin (8 Tests, 1 ODI), Darren Sammy (22 Tests, 34 ODIs, 40 T20Is), Ramnaresh Sarwan (2 T20Is).

    1. Clive Lloyd, 1966-1985, Sobers, Kanhai and Lloyd
    2. Richards, 1974-1991, Lloyd, Murray and Richards

Obviously, the careers of Sobers, 1954-1974 and Kanhai 1957 -1974 will reveal the reality of the contrast of losing cricket and continuance of race/ethnicity and class within the European construct in the 1950s to the stability of Frank Worrell and revival of winning cricket 1961-1967

This truth warrior read numerous and various accounts perverting to be the history of West Indies cricket. The primary sources are newspapers beginning in the 1880s. Thus, this truth warrior is fully aware of the shenanigans and machinations of the administrators of West Indies cricket, 1887-2022. This truth warrior is absolutely positive there’s nothing respecting West Indies cricket, 1887-2022 which does not subscribe to European ideals.

This truth warrior questions the level of consciousness of the former cricketers clinging to European values. This truth warrior has concluded every one of them is ridiculous, if not downright disgusting. They are all examples of our people seeking other peoples’ approval. Their behaviors are effects of white supremacy on the brain of Negroes. It’s generational culture genocide. White man as god,  the father and only by accepting his son, Jesus Christ would Negro be saved from perpetual spiritual death. All are unrealistic and unnatural behaviors in the annals of life on earth. .

Knighthood does not remove the reality of being property of Europeans. Constantine, Walcott, Weekes, Worrell, Hunte, Sobers, Hall, Griffith, Greenidge, Lloyd, Richards, Roberts, Richardson and Ambrose are names of European slaves owing families.  This truth warrior would have been more impressed with Constantine, Walcott, Weekes, Worrell, Hunte, Sobers, Hall, Griffith, Greenidge, Lloyd, Richards, Roberts, Richardson and Ambrose had they sought to burn The Bridge of No Return, destroy The Door of No Return, eradicate The Tree of Forgetfulness, bridge the Atlantic Ocean, pay homage to ancestors at rest within and survivors of  the Middle Passage,  by using their accomplishments to reunite with their DNA relatives within the basins of the Congo and Senegal rivers.

Organized cricket in the English speaking Caribbean was started as a European social construct.  No melanin dominant humans were allowed on the field of play. Numerous accounts illustrate fast bowlers are the first Negroes allowed on the field of play – for practice and matches. The fast bowlers 1880s -1900 endured various abuse and protests.  This truth warrior must add the earliest Negroes were mostly miscegenation – mulattos. There were no Negroes in the West Indies touring team to the USA in 1887. The 1900 West Indies touring team to England included the melanin dominant humans; Burton, Constantine, Hinds, Ollivierre and Woods

The first West Indies test touring squad in 1928 included eleven melanin dominant humans. However, no East Indian was selected. Sonny Ramadhin in 1950 is the first West Indies East Indian test cricketer. Rohan Kanhai in 1973 is the first East Indian to captain the West Indies test team.

No East Indian has occupied major offices in Cricket West Indies.  Individuals such as Daren Ganga, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan ought to be given the opportunity to rectify Cricket West Indies. No Indian nonsense must be changed. Bias against Guyanese and Indian spinners must be eradicated. West Indies have numerous talented cricketers. Team play and playing above the shoulders is questionable. Coaches and selectors must be held accountable as well as players. Phil Simmons has not won a damn thing. He is the primary villain of West Indies cricket 2019-2022.  Phil Simmons ranting against Hetmyer is not reasonable. IPL franchises 2019-2022 vehemently disagree with your impressions. Hetmyer in 2016 was the captain of West Indies under 19 world cup winning team. Hetmyer has winning pedigree. He should have been nurtured instead Phil Simmons and Roger Harper were allowed to victimize and ostracize the best talented batsman in West Indies cricket. Hetmyer is in the tradition of Everton Weekes, Clyde Walcott, Collie Smith, Gary Sobers, Seymour Nurse, Clive Lloyd, Roy Fredericks, and Brian Lara – ball beaters extraordinaire.

GEDmatch Useful tools for family historians

“Humans do not need religion. Nothing on earth needs religions, Why is it humans are the only life form anywhere with so much asininity and pollution? Humans are out of order with AMENET/AMEN (NATURE). Submission to religious nonsense is the most disgusting and unnecessary cowardly behavior on earth. – MaaNgala Oni Shankalla

Attention our people associated with Nabaclis, Golden Grove, Victoria, Ann's Grove, Buxton, Friendship, Sparendaam, Plaisance, Hopetown, Lichfield, Rose Hall, Fyrish, Courtland, Gibraltar, Canje, and Linden. If you are a descendant of the aforementioned ancestors and numerous other ancestors who are the representation of this truth warrior in the past, you share pieces of identical DNA with our genetic relatives, which are usually referred to as “DNA segments”. Matching DNA segments are identical pieces of DNA shared between two people. These identical DNA segments are located on specific locations on an individual chromosome.

The size, or length, of matching DNA segments is usually measured in “centimorgans“, or cMs. Identical DNA segments can be very small or very large.

As you likely know, DNA testing is a great first step in learning about your family tree.  Many people take their first DNA test with Ancestry DNA, which is an excellent choice.

This truth warrior recommends you join GEDmatch.

Did you know that you can download your DNA file from Ancestry in order to store on your device or upload to other websites? Do you have a profile at GEDmatch? If you are on GEDmatch; please enlighten me as per your kit number. Otherwise, this researcher suggests you join GEDmatch. By joining GEDmatch your Autosomal DNA will be compared to data respecting those other relatives who used other DNA companies.  And those relatives can be directly contacted.

West Indian Cricketers 1900-1955

I heard my father and his generation speak about the cricketers 1900-1955. I recall hearing about Lebrun Constantine, his brother-in-law and his sons especially, Learie Constantine, Charles Ollivierre and his brothers, Wilton St Hill and his brothers, George Headley, Clifford Roach and the fast bowlers; Float Woods, Archie Cumberbatch, Tommie Burton, Learie Constantine, George Francis, Herman Griffith, George John, Manny Martindale, George Hylton, and John Trim.

Cricket and cricketers is generational. Rules are often changed to suit the dominant financial force in cricket.  It is obvious not even decades is the accurate measure of the success of the cricketers. Parallel careers against the same opponents in same conditions under the same rules are the best possible measuring tools.

I grew up admiring the hostility of fast bowlers versus the belligerent response of batsmen. The counterattacking batsmen employing the hook, pull, cut, cover drive and back drive in the direction of the bowlers were special and attractive against fast bowlers.   I loved to watch daring batsmen stepping down the wicket against fast bowlers as if they were spinners.

I grew up in New Amsterdam. I recall hearing of early twentieth century West Indies fast bowlers at Austin’s Barber Shop on Strand. What struck me and stayed with me as odd or coincidence is that all of the early fast bowlers were Black Barbadians. At some point, I concluded not only was Austin’s Barber Shop a watering hole for Buxtonian working class males but also a gathering place for Africans of   Barbadian heritage in New Amsterdam. I am certain it was hearing bits and pieces of the ole men’s conversations at Austin’s Barber Shop which opened my imagination of the image of fast bowlers and fast bowling. I never cared for or were impressed by spin bowlers. At Austin’s Barber Shop,  I first heard of the following; Float Woods, Archie Cumberbatch, Tommie Burton, Learie Constantine, George Francis, Herman Griffith, George John, Manny Martindale, George Hylton, John Trim, and Roy Gilchrist.

The records exhibits Burton, Cumberbatch, and Woods were the fast bowlers on the early West Indian teams which toured England in 1900 and 1906. The trio was born in Barbados. Burton and Cumberbatch also represented British Guiana and Trinidad in regional matches. Constantine, Francis and Griffith were the featured fast-bowling threesome on the 1923 and 1928 tours of England. Herman Griffith is perhaps best remembered for unearthing Don Bradman’s stumps. Don Bradman had not scored a single run.  That’s perhaps the only occasion Don Bradman had been dismissed without scoring much less clean bowled in any form of cricket.

Constantine, Hylton and Martindale formed the triad in 1935. However, at Old Trafford on July 22-25, 1939 Martindale, Hylton, Constantine, and Williams formed what must be considered as the original West Indies foursome. In 1948, Lance Pierre, John Trim and Floffie Williams appeared in one match. Gilchrist made his test match debut sharing the new ball with frank Worrall. In his last test match appearance Gilchrist and hall were the opening bowlers. Eric Atkinson was the first change. Hall soldiered on until and with Charlie Griffith arrived in 1960. The pair declined in late 1960s, on the tour of Australia in 1968/1969. During the decade of the 1960s Gary sobers occasionally bowled the first over.

West Indies struggle to locate a really outstanding fast bowler from 1969 ended in 1974 with the emergence of Andy Roberts. However, during that five years’ period Keith Boyce had a shining moment in the three test matches series against England in England in 1973. Vanburn Holder was steady, accurate and unspectacular. Boyce and Holder weren’t terribly quick. Roberts made his test match debut in 1974 in Barbados. Roberts made his test match debut in Barbados in March 1974 versus England. He shared the new ball with Holder. Julian and Sobers were the backup quicker bowlers. Roberts shared the new ball with Marshall in his last test match appearance in December 1983 in Madras. Davis and Holding completed the foursome.

West Indies first recorded their first test match victory over Australia at SCG in 1931. Frank Martin, Clifford Roach, George Headley, G C Grant (captain), Derek Sealy, Learie Constantine, EL Barlett, IM Barrow (wicket-keeper) O C “Tommie” Scott George Francis and Herman Griffith

West indies first innings  350 for six wickets declared (Martin 123* Headley 105, Grant 62 and Roach 31: Grimmett 3 /100) and second innings  124 for five wickets declared

Australia 224 (Fairfax 54, Bradman 43: Francis 19-6-48-4, Constantine 10-2-28-1, and Griffith 13.2-3-31-1) and second innings (Fairfax 60, McCabe 44, Bradman 0: Griffith 13.3-3-50-4, Constantine 17-2-50-2, and Francis 16-2-32-0

Cutlass wielding criminal minded Indian males at Bridge over Anamoromise Creek. It appears the image was taken on the bridge pointing towards 66 village.

I must have used this bridge over two thousand occasions, September 1966 - July 1972. I walked across the bridge on numerous occasions during all hours of any given day. I remember one occasion I was forced off the bridge by a mob of homicidal racist Indians.

Bridge over Anamoromise Creek. It appears the image was taken on the bridge pointing towards 66 village.

One night as I was heading home at 68 village from the cinema at 64 village, it dawned upon me,  cutlass wielding criminal minded males were hell-bent on murdering this Sancho. Once I realized an ambush had been set targeting this African, I didn't panic. I went into full warrior mode. I realized I couldn't survive on my feet on the public road through that mob.  Unless I was armed with an automatic weapon. Hence, the water of the Anamoromise Creek provided the best means of survival. After giving those murders the impression I intended to run right through them, I veered right. I  jump off the bridge. I stayed under the water on the bed of the creek until I felt flowing water. I knew I was beyond the Department of Public Works Compound at 67 Village. I crawled up the stream. Then I simply made my way home through the jungle into the cricket ground at 67 Village. I washed my physical with rain water. Muriel Sancho was asleep. She awoke. She gave me money to travel immediately  to our ancestral community. For some reason I ducked in the hire-car as it approached the bridge. The mob was still looking for me in the vicinity of the bridge. A few months, later I was informed Samuel Gopaul of 68 village is the reason for the horrible event I  experienced.  Samuel Gopaul gave an account of this Sancho messing around with Chitrani Kanhai of 66 village. Somehow, those indians were prepared to commit murder than to question the son of the Head Mistress of 68 Government School. As per Chitrani, she and I were classmates up July 1967 at 68 Government School. She and I were close then. It was puberty platonic adolescence attraction. I carried her books. She was as pleasant as she was pretty. Ok I loved her long hair.  It reminded me of Muriel Sancho. I love long haired Indian females. I am told my grandmother, her mother and her grandmother are Mootoo. They had extremely long hair. Therefore, it's in my DNA. There was no need for the Indians to be alarmed. At the time of the attempt on my life I was heavily laden. Yasmine Ramnarine, class mate with whom I shared bench and desk  was killed near the post office by a sugar truck on a Monday morning in November 1970. My neighbor, Doreen's sister hung herself at 64 village. I felt helpless. I was angry at  Doreen. She was a stubborn woman. She refused to listen to her sister.  Muriel and I couldn't save Doreen's sister from herself. Doreen was left wailing. Moreover, the female I admired resided at 65 village. She was politely  ignoring me. Yet, she admired Muriel. Thus, respecting the feminine gender, I wasn't feeling at home on the Upper Corentyne. I longed for African communities on  the East Coast Demerara in which my relatives resided. It was an unfortunate incident. It was totally unwarranted.

So Close Yet So Far Away – No Lies No Surprises No Confrontations

Best Greetings to each and everyone, everywhere.  This is a message to you interested in family history, genealogy and local history. There are several Blogs online presented by the content provider M’Lilwana Osanku. Perhaps, you ought to ascertain whether there is information therein relative to persons of interests to your efforts.  For the foreseeable future, You will be able to communicate with the truth warrior using email addresses linked to the blogs.

It is unlikely the human experience referred by the Praise Name - MaaNgala Oni Shankalla - will post on Facebook going forward. He will also not participate on Twitter. On that information outlet he used his other Mande Bantu name. The name M’Lilwana Yaw Osanku is in honor of the day of birth, his totems, birth order, journey, Muriel Sancho and their most ancient ancestors to and including those enslaved in the Americas. The Sancho heritage is respecting the period 1782- August 21, 2022 CE. The truth warrior has resigned to the reality melanin dominant humans are making no comprehensive effort to eradicate the chains of powerlessness 664BCE to August 20, 2022 CE. As his eyes dim, he has no confidence, he will experience the light in the tunnel.   The nomadic lion has also been worn down by the continuum of transitions of unconditional love to the spiritual realm of existence.

No Winston Sullivan, No William Sullivan, No Wendy Maison,  No Lana Reece,  No Ingrid - the Savior, No Colin Ross, No Compton Ross, No Cheryl Ross, No David Ross, No Winston Matthews, No Alwyn Sancho, No Tunka Sancho, No Frank Rodrigues, No Wickham Sancho, No Leroy Sancho, No Colin Sancho and No Patricia – the Apostle -  that’s not so long ago.

Love that’s forsaken is unrequited love - love forgotten. Reality check - those with who you begun won’t be there at your transition. It’s the simple reality, when the spirit escapes the prison – matter- the body. Its Historical truths of millions years of life. It’s simply NATURE balancing the eco-system. Unfortunately humans form social relations with others which are intended to help endure the struggles for survival in the physical realm of existence.  Often times relationships end before transitions of the creatures.

Thereby creating vacuum in the social aspect of our journey.  The unavailability of confidants – all are at rest - ensures only his shadow can be trusted.

  1. He neither wants liars, nor thieves around him.
  2. He wants no more lies
  3. He wants no more surprises
  4. He wants no more of disgusting creatures calling him brother, cousin, relative and/or friend.
  5. He wants no more confrontations

Lessons in his life included the episode of his 1987 Giorgio Armani pinstripe suit two so-called friends who were major pieces of his teenage years and Nabaclis experiences revealed themselves to petty common deceitful greedy and treacherous individuals. He is grateful. He escaped the cutlass wielding murderous mob of Indians at 66 Creek Bridge in the early 1970s. Otherwise, he may have departed thinking numerous folks who hated him loved him. He regrets he was not present to save the lives of Anson Sharper and Cedric Hudson and/or well further he says not.

  • How did he survive Muriel and Oswald?
  • How is it he is still breathing?

Information on Sancho is sketchy. Thus he is forced in these last days to resort to historical fiction as a resume – a love letter – bequeathed to future generations of DNA Sancho.

He intends to reprogram future generations of DNA Sancho imitate our most ancient ancestors

He is confident he will be appreciated and vindicated by our people in their right minds beginning in the not too distant future. Our representation in the future must know and not believe. The future generations must be free of mental slavery, physical bondage and European constructs.

Long Live the DNA of Bentick Sancho and Tuckness Sancho Long Live

Mediocrities imitating Shivnarine Chanderpaul

Indians are invisible in the administration of West Indies cricket.  I pointed out the regular trademark of losing West Indies cricket. Historical references exhibit biasness, ethnic and island cleavages are major contributing factors to the demise of the Ramadhin and Valentine era; and the Worrell and Sobers era. During the late 1950s and late 1960s, insularity was the word used for the summary of the ills bedeviling West Indies cricket. During 1966 sobers took nine Barbadians in a squad of seventeen tour of England.

  • Gary Sobers, captain, Conrad Hunte, vice-captain, David Allan, Rawle Brancker,  Charlie Griffith,  Wes Hall, David Holford, Peter Lashley, Seymour Nurse
  • Basil Butcher, Lance Gibbs, Rohan Kanhai, Joe Solomon
  • Joey Carew
  • Rudolph Cohen, Jackie Hendriks, Easton McMorris

There was no room for Deryck Murray, Clive Lloyd and Roy Fredericks in the expressions of the vision impaired West Indies selectors and administration. Small wonder Sobers teams crumbled 1968-1972. History shows Deryck Murray, Clive Lloyd and Roy Fredericks were the future in Summer 1966. And should have been on that tour.

From 1973 -1995 the quality of the talent pool allowed Kanhai, Lloyd, Richards and Richardson to lead with several issues being swept under the rug. Therefore those teams were able to overcome the unnecessary foolishness of several ridiculous individuals, especially the selectors. Clyde Walcott is the principal influential person behind the rise and maintenance of West Indies cricket as the dominant force in the cricket world 1973 -1995. Lloyd may have learnt from experiencing firsthand the demise of the Worrell and Sobers era. Lloyd seemed very eager and ruthless to replace aging veterans with younger players while maintaining a core of winning cricketers.  Lloyd was consistent. At least since the era of Jason Holder West Indies teams have been dominated with mediocre Barbadians in test matches and average Trinidadians in white ball cricket. The wickets in the Caribbean are docile. There has been no fast bowler of similar quality of Ian Bishop in decades. No batsman rivaling Roy Frederick in decades. Current West Indies batsmen are exposed against quality spinners in tandem.  Fast bowlers in hostile conditions decimate the mediocre Barbadians. Seymour Nurse is the last extremely tough Barbadian international. Dennis Lillee and Jeff Thomson demonstrated Gordon Greenidge was not tough enough. They blew him away four completed innings eleven runs scored. Gordon Greenidge was the weakest of that talented first six 1974-1977 Lloyd, Fredericks, Rowe, Kallicharran, Greenidge and Richards. Fredericks was the toughest. In current times, none seem to draw upon the last two murderers of fast bowling, Roy Fredericks and Viv Richards. The mediocrities are all inclined on imitating Shivnarine Chanderpaul. The test matches first six are a bunch of grafters - ugly cricket. I prefer the Learie Constantine blueprint for West Indies cricket tempered with the ruthlessness of Clive Lloyd for winning in dominant fashion for as long as possible.

Clive Lloyd preferred the following;

  1. Hard hitting adventurous stroke-playing batsmen who could defend graft, if needed and not throw away their wickets in the face of dominant bowling.
  2. Fast bowlers who were excellent fielders and capable lower order batsmen.
  3. Superb catching especially close to the wicket.
  4. Lloyd was not fond of spinners of his era in West Indies cricket.

What is the strategy of CWI as the losing continues?

Yagga Rowe as National Conversation in 2022 is Distraction

This truth warrior respects the contributions of Yagga Rowe to West Indies cricket. Yagga Rowe belongs in the same pew as Frank Worrell, Rohan Kanhai and Alvin Kallicharran.  They are a rear breed of West Indian batsmen. They are touch players. Yagga Rowe was an absolute master batsman.

It is unfortunate Yagga Rowe in a test match career spanning February 16, 1972 - February 29, 1980 failed to appear in 29 test matches. Yagga Rowe appeared in 30 Test matches. He recorded seven centuries. He scored a total of 2,047 runs at an average of 43.  Perhaps, only a test match career ending after 1988 with an average above 99 runs would not have been considered an underachievement.

Other than failing to live up to expectations in international cricket Lawrence George Rowe has nothing to apologize to anyone.

  1. Yagga Rowe did not sell any so-called African into slavery in Africa, the Americas and elsewhere.
  2. Yagga Rowe did neither Christianized nor Arabized our people.
  3. Yagga Rowe did not betray Marcus Garvey.
  4. Yagga Rowe did not murder Peter Tosh.
  5. Yagga Rowe did not make any diseases.
  6. Yagga Rowe did not force humans to wear masks.
  7. Yagga Rowe did not sign the instruments of independence.
Bustamante signed the instruments of independence. What then are the contents of the instruments of independence?  The government of Jamaica has always deceived the Jamaican people. Otherwise, the Wailers would have had no reason to wail for freedom of our people in Jamaica and globally. Rothschild males are the slave masters of some 8 billion humans. Rothschild’s owns the Jamaican dollar. At this late day in the age of knowing, the era of believe is long gone, millions of melanin dominant humans are still surface people. They still believe whatsoever various governments are peddling. They still believe they are free in the face of their daily realties. Jamaicans need to hold the government of Jamaica accountable for the condition of life facing the Jamaican people, August 1962 – August 15, 2022.  What percentage of the oil reserves will be used to benefit the people of Jamaica must be at the top in the national conversation.

Lets talk West Coast Berbice

I am particularly interested in becoming enlightened, concerning the kinships of Campbell, Friday, Sancho and Young (Younge).

I am aware; among my relatives are members of the kinships of Blair, Campbell, Martin, McAlmont, McPherson, Ross, Reddock, Sancho, Semple, Welch and Young, all of Hopetown and the other Villages of West Coast Berbice.

My grandfather is Jacob Stanley Martin. My father is George Eleazer Ross (1908-2006). My grandmother is Blanche Ross (1893-1983). My great grandmother, the mother of Blanche Ross is Mary Maude McPherson. My Aunts and my Uncles are Hildred, Punnie, Gussy, Smokey, Felix, Jean, Marie Albert and Shirley; all are of Hopetown, West Coast Berbice.

I would love to be enlightened concerning the dates of deaths of the folks mentioned above and others of the village of Hopetown, West Coast Berbice. Thereby I could access the published reports of those events in the newspapers of that era – and thereby ascertain their immediate relatives and others of that era mentioned in those articles. I would be delighted to obtain and/ or by all means access the list of shareholders of Hopetown, West Coast Berbice.

I am told; Ruth Lara Semple is the mother of Anetha Jones, the wife of Rudy Kendall. She is regarded to be an immediate relative of my grandmother, Blanche Alberta Semple Ross (1893-1988). I am not sure how the relationship really is. I believe Ruth Laura Semple and Blanche Alberta Semple Ross (1893-1988) are either first-cousins or sisters. Again I am not sure.

I would dearly love to tap into the shared experience and ancestral heritage of the people of Hopetown, West Coast Berbice. It is also apparent to me my grandmother's residence was located in Firebrace. I remember it was about one lot from the canal. I recall being told the neighbor to the west the residence of my grandmother is an immediate relatives of the famous Rock Musician Eddy Grant.

Perhaps you can point me to the relatives of folks mentioned in this correspondence. Is it possible for you to ask your relatives, friends, associates and your customers who are aware of the people of the communities found on the West Coast of the county of Berbice, to contact me?

I would love to contact and communicate with the members of the kinship of Sancho of West Coast Berbice. I heard of Winston Lloyd Sancho of Profit, Shirley Sancho of Belladrum, and Earl Evan Sancho of Trafalgar. Indeed I would love to bond the People of Sancho whoever they and wherever they are located.

Hamilton, Joseph, McAlmont and Norville are known to be relatives of the kinship of Campbell of Hopetown, West Coast Berbice. The need is to link the kinship of Campbell of Hopetown to that of the kinship of Campbell, my great grandfather; James Campbell of Unity-Lancaster district.

I have encountered Claudette C. Campbell in the Official Gazette of British Guiana. It is now my understanding; Claudette C. Campbell and Sherlock I. Norville are married. The union produced at least one daughter. The daughter of Claudette C. Campbell and Sherlock I. Norville is married to a Hamilton. I believe the kinship of Norville reside in Brooklyn, New York City.

I have heard of Rachael Campbell, the female National Cricketer.

I am told a former Guyanese Law Enforcement Officer Young of Hopetown died Christmas day 2006 in California. I am also aware; in 1952, Jeannette Young was employed a Pupil Teacher at the Anglican Primary School in Hopetown.

I would be extremely grateful when communications are established with Campbell, Sancho and Young of West Coast Berbice, and indeed members of those kinships of Guyana. I would be extremely grateful when communications are established with folks and/ or researchers into the kinships of Campbell, Friday, Sancho and Young (Younge). I prefer email addresses and mailing addresses. I may be able to access Sherlock Norville of Beterverwagting and his wife Claudette Campbell of Hopetown, shortly. I am praying they will be able to point me to people of those locations of whom I have great interests – Campbell, Sancho and Young… I am also interested in learning about my heritage of my father's people of Hopetown, Martin, Blair, Semple, McPherson, Reddock, and Coddett.

Who could point me to the relatives of Stanley Jacob Martin and also the folks listed below?

I am hereby seeking to contact and communicate with the researcher and/ or researchers who are attempting to document the family history of the following;

  1. Charles McPherson (1877-1948) Hopetown, Berbice.
  2. Ruth Lara Semple, Hopetown, Berbice.
  3. John Luke (17__-18__)

Fragments of History of Organized cricket in Berbice

Was Patrick Ferreira, the first President of the Berbice Cricket Board of Control? This researcher has not accessed materials showing an earlier president.

Are you aware the Daily Chronicle printed a column labeled Berbice Personalities in the Sunday edition of the print media? Are you familiar with any of the following? S. G. Wreford; Peer Bacchus; Pat Ferreira; Stinging Ants (G. Fraser); H.B. Fraser; John O. Dow; George Edward Carto; A. C. Broughton

Are you aware of B. Etwaroo? He was the number three batsman in Cyril Plummer led Berbice team versus Demerara in November 1945. Etwaroo played on the Berbice teams with Arthur John Richardson against Barbadians and Trinidadians in the late 1930s. Is this Etwaroo the brother-in-law of Rohan Kanhai? I'm with he is an early influence on Kanhai. I am with B. Etwaroo, the Berbice cricketer, 1930s and 1940s, is the father of Romain, Randolph, Reginald, and Tyrone Etwaroo. I engaged in email exchanges with Randall Butisingh and Rampersaud Tiwari, respecting cricket talent in the rural communities 1929 -1954. Hence, I am not surprised by the rise of Chatterpaul Persaud in the 1930s. The total package Rohan Kanhai was absolutely stunning. Who are the folks he copied? Forget Christiani and Walcott, who are the locals?

Were you aware when Berbice faced Trinidad and Demerara in 1945?  B. Etwaroo of Plantation Port Mourant was perhaps the leading batsman. I suppose this Etwaroo is perhaps Rohan Kanhai’s brother-in-law or relative of the brother-in-law. This information shows Mortimer George’s book is inadequate at best. Attached are pages from the Daily Chronicle 1945.

The team to represent Berbice against Demerara in the Inter-County Cricket Match to be played on the Mental Hospital Ground, Fort Canje, Berbice, this weekend will be selected from the following players: L.S. Birkett, C.T. Plummer, B. Minty, E. Taitt, Naipaul, M. Teekasingh, B. Etwaroo, Ganim Khan, J. Lutch, E. E. King, P.C. Duguid, Baijnauth and D. Basdeo.

I'm sure Plummer was around when I arrived in New Amsterdam. I remember Duncan McGregor Stuart residing at Main and Alexander. I am pretty sure I was aware of Miriam Sharper, the mother  of Cyril Plummer selling confectionery on the Demerara Railway.

Plummer was the Administrator of New Amsterdam Hospital.

During 1934, Arthur John Richardson did a coaching assignment in British Guiana. His fine all-around performance leads an All-Berbice team to defeat Intercolonial teams, Barbadian and Trinidad & Tobago. Seelall and Reece recorded a century eight-wicket stand in one of the matches. The Berbice Cricket Board was then founded on the advice of William Maurice Green (1900-1952), December 1934- January 1935.

In November 1934, William Maurice Green recommended a Cricket Board of Control be established in Berbice. A meeting was held in December 1934. The response was poor. Thus, directives were sent to several Clubs informing them, that their players would be ineligible to represent Berbice, British Guiana or Demerara as the colonial team was identified; if they were not members of the Board. The Board was the recognized entity for cricket in the county...By January 1935 several clubs most estate clubs responded approving the agendas and thus the Cricket Board of Control for Berbice came into existence. It appears no Berbice Cricketer represented British Guiana prior to the formation of the board in Berbice except the cricketer played in the top cup cricket tournaments in Georgetown. John Trim was named to the fifteen member group in late 1934. Trim was not selected to represent British Guiana. In fact, John Trim Was ridiculed by the Daily Chronicle newspaper sports columnist. He argued John Trim could not represent any club in Parker Cup cricket in 1934. How could the selector consider him, over B.K Persaud, B. Rohomon, Bayley, and Gaskin? Arthur John Richardson identified Seelall and Reece as the two most highly promising cricketers in Berbice in 1934. Now history speaks eloquently for itself. Doesn’t it?
