Bramble, Hemraj and Permaul should have been selected into West Indies test team based on their trashing of a formidable Barbadian bowling unit in January 2019 in Barbados.

 This POW has several issues with Clive Lloyd’s tenure as selector. The removals of Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Denesh Ramdin manifested into terrible blows because Lloyd did not stay on to ensure Hetmyer, Hope, King, Pooran, Rutherford and Holder nurtured into dominant internationals. Lloyd also failed to select Veerasammy Permaul in West Indies test team. This POW is well aware of Lloyd’s dislike for spinners. However, there were no quality fast bowlers comparable to the quality Lloyd experienced 1974-1985. Thus, Lloyd should have chosen balanced bowling units with variety. Two or three spinners or quicks including Permaul with a right arm leg spinner, and/or an attacking off spinner and two or three quicks; depending on the surface was the better choice. 

Courtney Browne and the succeeding selectors are simply a horror shows to spinners Indians and Guyanese. Bramble, Hemraj and Permaul should have been selected into West Indies test team based on their trashing of a formidable Barbadian bowling unit in January 2019 in Barbados. Courtney Browne ignored their performances. And that pattern has continued to this minute.

4. Bissoondyal Singh Guyana Cricket Board
5.  Enoch Lewis, Leeward Island Cricket Board
6. Kishore Shallow Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control

The region has failed to produce several outstanding bunches of fast bowlers as it did 1973-1988.
