CWI ought to be all hands on deck or get out of the way

This POW is convinced Brooks, Bonner, Brathwaite, Blackwood, Da Silva, Chase, and Mayers need to be removed from the test team. King, Hope, Hetmyer, Pooran, Rutherford, Carty and number of others must be given opportunities in 2023. Brathwaite and his ugliness is not an example of our cricket. A confident Gordon Greenidge is the right approach to opining batting in test match cricket. Braithwaite’s performances encourage bowlers. He puts undue presume on accompanying, succeeding batsmen and bowling unit. Brathwaite appeared in too many games for West Indies. Unless, Braithwaite can be used as a crisis batsman in the lower middle order; he needs to be permanently removed from West Indies cricket. In prior decades crisis batsmen usually batted at 4, 5 and 7 with Sobers at 6. In Lloyd's teams 1974-1980 there were no crisis batsman per se from the last two test matches in Australia in 1976, six of the first seven generally, revolved around Viv Richards. Of course, the openers, the dynamic Fredericks and Greenidge in 1978 replaced by Greenidge and Haynes often times provided excellent platforms for Richards, Kallicharran, Rowe, Lloyd and Murray. This current group has no backbone. The batsmen are all too often blown away like leaves in fall. And you still believe these so-called batsmen are West Indies best options for test match cricket. How ridiculous is that? None of them average near 42 runs per innings. All have putrid scoring rates.

It ought to be all hands on deck or get out of the way. If you are not part of the solution; you are part of the problem of 27 years of losing cricket. What are the visions, the properly functioning programs of every administrator in organized cricket? Berbice Cricket Board has a plan – works are in progress. What efforts are Leeward Islands, Windward Islands, Barbados, Jamaica, Guyana, and Trinidad and Tobago and their affiliates, making? What are the visions of the administrators of Leeward Islands, Windward Islands, Barbados, Jamaica, Guyana, and Trinidad and Tobago and their affiliates to eradicate the problem of 27 years of losing West Indies cricket Every malfunctioning administrator in CWI must be replaced. Every malfunctioning administrator in the six affiliates must be replaced with visionaries. Insularity and bias must be eradicated. Merit as per performances must be the deciding factor. Every West Indies representative must play first class cricket and be available for test matches. Dave Cameron was partly right. No regional first class matches you are ineligible to represent the West Indies. What is the level of commitment of the high earning cricketers to West Indies cricket? CWI must establish a commission of inquiry into selectors, coaches, players and grounds staff 2015-2022? Why were fitness used to exclude the better performers? Why Hetmyer, Hope, Pooran were omitted and regressed under Phil Simmons watch? Organized cricket in the West Indies needs a great reset.

Oh Ian Chappell and Grieg Chappell where art thou? This fella Pat Cummings - what a bum? His dumb declaration 133 runs short of target, denied this POW of the chance to win two grand. ACB need to fire the bum. Brathwaite is too dam boring, even Chanderpaul scoring three times quicker than that bum. And he is West Indies test match captain. None in their right mind could root for such ugliness. The best thing about Brathwaite is Learie Constantine is not here to cry about the demise and ugliness of West Indies cricket. This POW is grateful he won't be around to read about the legendary great West Indies cricketer Kraigg Brathwaite. That guy is so outstanding no global franchise wants him in their squad. And he is your West Indies test match captain. Let that sink in. Brathwaite, Bonner, Blackwood, Chase, Chanderpaul, Brooks, and Da Silva etc no franchise is throwing money at those mediocre players. Holder Mayers Joseph has IPL interests. Roach and Seales make county teams. Can’t imagine why Brathwaite was allowed a cup of coffee in English county championship season.

The wicket in Perth is lifeless. WACA 1971-1976 was special. Batsmen scoring centuries there are extraordinary. Guyanese Indians need to stop the nonsense of Shivnarine Chanderpaul being the best West Indies batsman. Clearly Shivnarine Chanderpaul is not an elite batsman. Roy Fredericks is the worse of the elite West Indies batsmen. This POW considers the following west Indies elite test match batsmen; George Headley, O’Neil Gordon Smith, Lawrence Rowe,  Viv Richards, Richie Richardson, Brian Lara, Rohan Kanhai, Basil Butcher, Clive Lloyd, Roy Fredericks, Alvin Kallicharran, Carl Hooper, Frank Worrell, Everton Weekes, Clyde Walcott, Conrad Hunte, Gary Sobers, and Seymour Nurse.  Unfortunately, Hetmyer, Hope, King, Pooran and Rutherford are being denied opportunities necessary to be numbered among the great West Indies batsmen

Even Jermaine Blackwood, once thought of as the second coming of Viv Richards, is afflicted with the disease - called grafting. Kyle Mayers is the most positive of the group. West Indies test team has too many grafters and mediocre Barbadians. The West Indies test team is most definitely not interesting. Where have you gone Roy Fredericks, Lawrence Rowe, Alvin Kallicharran, Viv Richards, and Clive Lloyd? This POW loves winning cricket. He loves cultured stroke players. He loves ball-beaters and touch players. This POW does not admire T20 and T10 formats. T10 and T20 has too much slugging. But, however, slugging is preferable over the boring grafters such as Brathwaite, Chanderpaul, Bonner, Blackwood, Chase, and Da Silva. This POW is very interested in the performances of Hetmyer, Rutherford, and Shepherd and members of 2016 and 2014 Under-19 West Indies squads.

He has little interest in the test series. What are the margins of Australia's victories? What can be drawn from the performances of Tagenarine Chanderpaul? When will CWI fire Johnny Grave, Desmond Haynes and Jimmy Adams? When will CWI eradicate the socio-political epidemic which has handcuffed winning cricket for 27 years? Other than 2016, T20 world cup 2012 and individual performances in franchise cricket, there has been nothing to shout about West Indies cricket 1995-2022.

The BGCBC - GCB administrators subscribed to ethnic and geographic cleavage, 1930s -2022. The behavior reproduced generational genocide. It's, generally, the same cry. When is GCB going to act responsibly? When will GCB change their tune? GCB must advocate complete separation from West Indies cricket. What do Guyanese and Guyana benefit from participating in illusions of inclusions labeled CARICOM and Cricket West Indies?
